Cats and Bats

Ah, the joys of homeownership. Instead of using our long weekend to trek through the mountains, fight whitewater in a raft or camp under the stars in the middle of nowhere...we decided to stay home and do some house work.

We had so much luck with our tomatoes, we decided to plant some other items in our garden.

This is one tomato plant that was only a few inches tall when we got it this spring. Now it's taller than I am.

Here you can see a few almost ready to eat! We usually get at least 6 cherry tomatoes each day. Last Friday we got 20!

Here are the new ones we planted yesterday. From left to right we have grapes, raspberry and blackberry.

Here is Meadow's blueberry plant.

Also this weekend we had a surprise guest in our patio umbrella...

And what would Labor Day be without a nice nap on the couch...

Happy Labor Day!

I hate to be a total city slicker, but is that a bat? Oh my gosh!

Yep. Isn't he cute?

Meadow has seen them flying around at night but we've never seen one just hanging out.
